Recovery Book Club

Fuel Your Brain, Not Your Anxiety: Stop the Cycle of Worry, Fatigue, and Sugar Cravings with Simple Protein-Rich Foods
Washtenaw Families Against Narcotics is excited to offer our first virtual book club to encourage mental health and recovery for those in our community. Authors Kristen Allott, ND, MS and Natasha Duarte, MS, will guide participants through their evidence based self-help workbook: Fuel Your Brain, Not Your Anxiety: Stop the Cycle of Worry, Fatigue, and Sugar Cravings with Simple Protein-Rich Foods.
Starting on September 20th, the book club will meet virtually, every other week, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. EST (4:00 to 5:30pm PST). In each session, Kristen and Natasha will review 3 chapters from the workbook (see the detailed breakdown below). Participants may choose to register for a single session, or all three!
It is recommended that you have a copy of the workbook. You can either purchase a copy of the workbook yourself from one of the many retailers listed here, or you can request a FREE copy, courtesy of Washtenaw FAN during registration (first 100 registrants only).
Book Club: A Look Ahead
Before each meeting, it's a good idea to pre-read the assigned chapters and jot down any questions that may arise. It’s not necessary to try any of the solutions prior to participating. However, looking over the material and reflecting on its relevancy will enhance your experience!
Here's a look ahead at what you can expect:

All are welcome to attend.
