Monday, August 31st is International Overdose Awareness Day, and the Macomb chapter of FAN will be holding our annual candlelight vigil at Christ Church in Fraser. Unfortunately, due to Governor Whitmer's Executive Order, attendance for this event is limited to 100 people, and we have reached that limit via our pre-registration.

If you successfully registered for this event, we will see you on the 31st at 7:00 pm. If you were not able to register, we apologize; but we have to follow the governor's guidelines. Please do not come to this in-person event unless you pre-registered. For those of you who are not able to attend the live event, we will be live-streaming it on our Facebook page beginning at 7:00 pm, so you can join us that way if you'd like.

Our Northwest Wayne County chapter is also having an Overdose Awareness Day ceremony via Zoom from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm the same night. They will have speakers, live music, and a candlelight ceremony. Information on how to join their Zoom ceremony is below, and pre-registration is not required.

Both of these gatherings will celebrate and remember the lives of those who have tragically been lost to drug or alcohol addiction. We will offer support to their loved ones, who grieve their untimely deaths; and we will honor those in recovery, because with education, encouragement, and determination... RECOVERY IS ATTAINABLE.
